Team Ferrari unveiled their new F1 car

Let’s stand up for the new Ferrari F2008. (Yes, coming from my fav F1 team since I first watched the races in 1997… erm, not just because they are Champs for the last season. )

With the recent changes in the FIA rules banning the use of Traction Control and implementing standardised ECU (engine control unit), Ferrari has once again been hard at work with their car especially in the Aerodynamics department. The introduction of another new rule that requires the gearbox to be re-used over 4 consecutive events, also drove the design team to come up with in-time changes to the unit.

Personally, I hope that this car will prove to be the best among the other big playes coz in recent seasons, the Ferrari team appears to be having a car that was not so outstanding as compared to McLaren for 2007 or Renault for 2005, 2006.

Looking forward to the start of the new season in Melbourne. And certainly, the Singapore round.

i am still disappointed that i am blinded by so many things. from past, from present.

it is difficult when i am put on the fence, and decide which way would be better for me to fall…

you opened the playing field, as though asking me to choose what to believe.

part of me wants to play along.

part of me is already numb.

but for now, i don’t know what else to believe.

i am BLANK.

Been a week since I got back from Toda, Japan…
My, what a wonderful rowing atmosphere they have there. What else do you have to say when they have 70 year olds looking good enough to beat us ?! hahaha
I would not even give it a try though.

In all, the trip made me learn a little bit more about rigging, as Waimun and I tried our hands in rigging the doubles FROM SCRATCH. We pratically stole items from the Nihon University boathouse to make our Empacher row-able. haha.. And we spent 2hr plus adjusting and re-measuring the boat height, span, etc. Phew~ By the time we finished, it was already 8pm and 2 hrs to lights out. And the next day would be our heats.

And within that few meters, you can find 6 boathouseS!!!! wohoo

They want to perceive me as simple, boring, plain? So be it.
They want to perceive me good, talented, whatever… i’ll just say thanks..

Yes, whatever it is. For if I worry too much about what I cannot control, I won’t have much energy left to control what I can.

For all the goodness, i must say rowing indeed make me feel good..
The time i spend rowing on that plain and boring reservoir make me realise all the good things on the outside world. the friends, the families, MY GF, the ambitious, the dreams. For that 2 hours that i am on the water, i could do so many things…. and i mean it.

I can burst my heart out, releasing the tension in everyday life.
I can dream away with each strokes, and the gust of winds blowing against me.
I can plan my day’s schedule..or perhaps the upcoming 2 days schedules.

Rowing made me cherish whatever that i have.
The magic is seeping in slowly now. I don’t know but I feel like i can do “more”. of whatever.

Every so consistently, i am reminded that i need balance in my life. Rowing – “power is nothing much without control”.

Let me start somewhere now……..

A hill to Climb..

Merlion is over. I am finished.
5th in both singles and doubles.
2nd when expected to get 1st.

underperformed.disappointment.realitycheck.thetruth.eyeopener
YES! eye opener indeed.

so many obstacles and worries to overcome.
will i be able to do it? i don’t know.
taking each day one at a time. no stress.no pressure.

1st time in my rowing career. (or should i say 2nd.. first time this happened was in 2001 SEA Games).

The race is not over, till we have crossed D’ finishing line. That finishing line in Thailand. See you there, buddy.

Oh well. If i can reach there. haha
